A creative collaboration between photography and poetry. Project contained 12 poems by 12 contributing female poets, exploring the theme: the male muse/female creator, the role of sexuality and desire and the body in creativity, alongside 12 artistic nude images of selected male poets, photographed by 12 UK female photographers. I was very lucky to be apart of this project. This was inspired by a black velvet cloak I saw hanging up in a shop window. I wanted to create images with a dark and mysterious feel but still giving them a contemporary edge.
The following images were taken last week on a trip out to the the island of Sal. It was the first time I’ve visited this island. The terrian is much harsher and flatter than the other islands I’ve been to. I was keen to get off the beaton track and meet some of the locals, so my partner and I hired quad bikes and a local guide. Despite ending up looking like we’d been mud wrestling, the experience was amazing. All the images were taken with my digital Lieca.
